Rubi Rose Benton was born in Lexington, Kentucky on October 2, 1997. Her parents were Nardos Ghebrelul (her mother, an Eritrean immigrant dental surgeon who was born in Ethiopia) and John Benton (her father) Lawyers of Japanese, African American, and European descent. The father of her was an adopted child. She has an older sister named Scarlette and her younger sister, Coral. [2] As a child, she was baptized as an Orthodox Christian. [better source required] She was a part of Geneva. Following her junior year in high school, she moved to Atlanta. Brookwood High School was her high school in Snellville. She was a track athlete. She majored in political science at Georgia State University. She discovered Marvin Gaye's music and sounds of Biggie, Prince, Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan. She's been influenced by Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Foxy Brown. Rose first gained fame by being the main model in hip-hop group Migos the music video for the single "Bad and Boujee". In the year following, she started regularly featuring on the Twitch stream with Jamaican born East Coast Hip Hop Commentator DJ Akademiks. Rose's musical career began in the month of September, 2018, when she released a remix of the song "On the Top" which was produced by Playboi. In 2019, she achieved the rounds with her single "Big Mouth". Rose was a guest in American rapper Cardi B's music video for her hit single "WAP" that was released on 7 August the 7th of August, 2020. A&R Chris Turner signed her to the LA Reid record label Hitco Entertainment in 2019. Rubi is also famous for her high-profile romantic relationships. She has dated the likes of Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Ian Connor, 21 Savage, Soulja Boy, Lil Yachty, Takeoff, Lil Tjay & DDG. She is currently not dating.
